Community Integration Program
Blue Livin’ Supports (BLS) Community Integration program provides individualized training and coaching support to adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Clients are individually supported to identify and explore community-based integration activities that promote skillsets in areas of self-advocacy, mobility, self-care, socialization and to acquire employment. Participants refine their skills through hands-on trainings that are offered in various public locations within their natural environment.
BLS Community Integration team coordinates service delivery with local non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, employment agencies and community resource centers to offer individuals a full range of community life and work-based learning experiences that include:

Independent Living Service
Independent Living Service program provides functional skill trainings to adults with IDD. Each Individual will receive essential tailored services, resources, and tools necessary to sustain independent living in his/her home and community in areas such as: personal care, meal planning and preparation, household maintenance, community integration, employment, health management, social integration, money management…
BLS ensures that individuals are provided with an array of current resources and tools that enable them to make informed choices that reflect his/her personal desires and sustains a fulfilling lifestyle. Independent living coaches empower Individuals to:

Build social emotional competencies that promote meaningful relationships

Program Assurances:
To ensure that the individual needs of each Individual are identified, an initial assessment will be conducted upon admission into the program. An individualized profile of each Consumer that capture their skills, interests, previous experiences, goals, desires, talents, and other pertinent information. Comprehensive activity plans and resources that are deemed necessary to support each Individual’s goals and objectives will be developed by instructional staff members with input from the consumer, natural supports, and other officials. All parties will strive to ensure that tailored services are result-driven and produce desired outcomes.
